Charles Erdman spent 25 years in the tech industry leading teams that built digital products for companies like Adobe, Microsoft, Charles Schwab, Comcast, Disney, and Lucasfilm. Now a visiting professor at the University of Austin, he's spent the back half of his career doing something harder than building the technology: explaining it.
This series — covering AI, crypto, and what he calls "digital hygiene" — comes out of a simple belief: nobody should feel behind just because the tech world moves fast and explains itself badly.
Charley breaks down the headlines, the history, and the hands-on basics in plain language, so boomers, beginners, and the merely curious leave each session with real understanding instead of more buzzwords.

Session description:
AI writes your emails, crypto moves your money — so who's watching all of that happen? Turns out: quite a lot of companies, and they've been taking notes since before you finished your coffee this morning.
Mr. Erdman closes the series with the history of data as a resource, the laws that govern who can use yours and how. This will be followed by a live workshop putting Proton Mail, a VPN, and Brave in your hands before you head home. You’ll tweak your settings to assure you’re no longer leaving “digital exhaust” for anyone to harvest.
